46 Communities’ Letter/Response to Airlines for America (A4A) – April-May 2021
Date: April-May 2021
Description: 46 advocacy groups nationwide responded to public comments filed in the Federal Register by Airlines for America (A4A) regarding the FAA’s Neighborhood Environmental Survey (NES). The advocacy groups’ letter refutes many of the claims made by A4A and urges them to not stand in the way of immediate relief from aircraft noise in light of the NES finding that significant annoyance from aircraft noise occurs at noise levels much lower than previously understood. The Airport Noise Report (ANR) featured an article on the letter titled “Community Groups Urge A4A to Support Immediate Action to Reduce Noise Harm.”
