Federal Register Comment on FAA Aviation Noise Complaint and Inquiry Response (ANCIR) Portal – March 2026
AICA’s public comment, supported by 76 advocacy organizations, submitted to the Federal Register, Docket ID No. FAA-2026-0661. The comment finds that the FAA’s ANCIR Noise Portal functions primarily as a complaint intake system rather than a meaningful community engagement or analytical tool, and recommends targeted improvements so that community-submitted data are analyzed, linked to operational and noise exposure conditions, and transparently used to inform mitigation actions and aviation noise policy decisions.
